Dedication to a SPECIAL friend

This is a page from a recent story I drew for Eaglemoss' Spider-man: Tower Of power title, which is published exclussively for the European market... and is the first strip I both fully pencilled and inked myself.

Now, this page has a very special meaning for me... as I drew in a very close friend of mine by the name of Wayne Rourke, who at the time of me drawing this was in the final stages of a long battle with cancer. I also drew in his wife Marion and son Adam as well... which got more than a smile from Wayne!
Unfortunately, my dear friend passed away on the 7th May... so I would like to dedicate this page to not only Wayne, but his family as well.

The original artwork to this page is being given to Wayne's family as a keepsake... but I am hoping to auction the remaining pages of this strip off at this years Auto Assembly convention (with thanks to the kind permission of Simon Plumbe), with all proceeds going to Cardiff's Holme Towers Hospice... a totally charity-based organisation who do such wonderful work with terminally ill cancer patients, and looked after my friend towards the end with wonderful devotion and care.
